Abalone and Apatite Necklace

Description:  In biology, abalone is the exoskeleton of a seashell, but it is also a magnificent example of art in nature.  Abalone is most often found along the coasts of Japan, South America, Hawaii and China.  Tossed and turned across the oceans, these shells reflect an amazing display of greens and blues, with pink flashes and purple undertones.  In a word, spectacular!  Our shells are extra large and puffed, yet extremely lightweight.  Each jewel has its own unique patterns and colors, making it perfect for the self expression aspect that dominates the fifth or throat chakra.  We have added a faceted aventurine as an accent.  It is shown with our 30" large link adjustable sterling chain, but can also be ordered as a pendant, without the chain.  The pendant can be viewed in the Designer Section of this website.

Throat Chakra Information for Abalone and Apatite Necklace
The throat chakra is also the fifth chakra and is focused on communication.  It is about finding your truth and expressing it.  This is no easy task.  It requires an honest look at yourself and the courage and integrity to stand up for what you truly believe.  While this depth of personal clarity is highly admirable, care must be taken to allow for other viewpoints to exist.  Speaking out against something you feel is unfair or untrue is as much a function of the throat chakra as writing a poem about the sunset.  This highly creative area of our personality energizes the artist within.  Dancing, singing, acting, painting, writing, public speaking, etc. are all forms of creative self expression.  The guiding principle of this chakra is truth.  It is the defining element in what makes art such a powerful form of communication
