Tune into your chakras
Start off this year with a simple intention - pay attention to your feelings. You can do this by checking in with yourself at different times during the course of a day. Let me be more specific - How about starting right now? Take 15 - 30 seconds to do a once over from your feet to your head, checking to see where your energy is concentrating. Be sensitive to areas of your body that feel heavy, tense, nervous or sore for no particular reason. Jot down where these feelings occur. Try this three times today. Maybe you will see a re-occurring pattern - a familiar sensation that always seems to be just under the surface. In any case, just jot down any sort of nagging feeling that you notice when you check in with yourself.
As you develop the habit of connecting with your feelings throughout the day, in time, you will find it gets easier to go directly to the places where you store tension. Pay attention to how you are holding your body. How is your posture? Our emotions speak clearly through our subtle anatomy. Just watching the way a person walks can tell you a great deal about how they are feeling. Let your body become a roadmap to your emotions. Once you are aware of how you are feeling and where you are feeling it, you can pinpoint the specific chakra that governs those emotions and begin to sort out and release negative energy in your life.
